On Green Gables Road just off of Hwy 35, on the west end of the main part of Moore Lake, there is a lovely bit of history still standing. The old one room school house was built by the Valentine Family who were the local stone masons and who also build the school house still standing at Miners Bay. The current owners are year round residents and live in the schoolhouse still with a tastefully added addition to increase their living space. They have graciously provided to us, some historic photos and documents from the schoolhouse . The Wessel children were some of the students there along with the Dunbar's and Leary's.
