Hey Rob. We had Bell come out on June 11th to hook us up but no signal either. The technician said he had tried to connect several spots in the trailer park on the river a week earlier and no signal there either even though they were only 3km from the tower. The height of the tower is apparently the issue.
We currently use a satellite one called Xplorenet , with a 10 download speed rating but it rarely reaches that speed and the higher package isn't any faster due to "congestion". It is rarely strong enough to stream. It costs about $90/month.
I heard one neighbour uses Cottage Country Net which is also Satellite. I think it is around the same cost per month and according to their website rated at the same speed and data packages as Xplorenet.
If anyone comes up with a better solution, please share!

Bell is offering high speed wireless internet in our area. There are 2 towers within 6 kilometres of our member's properties, however you require a site line to the new towers to access it. Many of us can't. While their website may show that you are in the "zone", when the Bell tech comes out you may not be able to receive a signal, as many of us found. Apparently, if enough of us call and ask them to come out, they may increase the height or number of towers. My land based speed is rarely above 1 Mbps/sec download. Wireless, if you get it, is 25 Mbps/sec download speed! Get on the phone, everyone!
